Here are a few simple CV writing tips to improve your application to interview ratio

Nothing more frustrating than applying for jobs and getting rejection after rejection. It can be soul destroying. But don’t give up hope, try these few simple CV writing tips NOW!!

  1. Your CV should be 2-pages (750 words) MAX
  2. Keep the layout simple (easy to read and navigate)
  3. Try to have as many one-liner bullet points as possible (succinct statements)
  4. You MUST get relevant information onto the first page
  5. Use bullet points (easier to read)
  6. Start all statements with an action or power verb
  7. DO NOT include duties or responsibilities
  8. Every bullet point should be impactful (achievement focused)
  9. Use uniformed font style, font size, and headers
  10. Avoid using generic terms e.g., organised, motivated
